Bodhgaya is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment more than 2600 years ago. It is a town located in Gaya district of Bihar, a state in eastern India bordering Nepal to its north. The Mahabodhi Temple complex that Bodhgaya revolves around has been recognized as a World heritage site in 2002. It is about 110 km from Patna, the capital of the state which is well connected by air to the rest of India. The nearest railways station is Gaya which is about 17 km from Bodhgaya. People speak Hindi like most of the inhabitants of states in Northern India. The weather could be little cold and could rain in January. Bodh Gaya had a population of 30,883. Kalachakra Bodhgaya 2017 could expect devotees ten times the number of locals.
