Tashi is passionate about Himalayan civilization .He descends from a family of Tibetan nomads who lived in the shadow of sacred Mount Kailash.

At 20, he studied History at the University of Delhi and with his growing interest in Buddhist thought, and acquired mastery of five languages, Tashi became an interpreter for Tibetan masters and yogis, traveling with them as a young man across Europe and the USA.

In 2005, he continued his spiritual journey by joining a 5-year program created by a Tibetan master, called the Science of Mind and Phenomena.

In 2008, Tashi received a grant from  FUR - the Dalai Lama Foundation for Universal Responsibility

to stage the photographic exhibition “Nomadic Tibetans in Exile.” He helped Boris Lelong with the research and creation of the CD, “Tibet: Songs of Exile,” which was published in France in 2013 by Buda Musique.

Stephanie has always been drawn to spiritual matters – particularly Buddhist teachings – since her early life. At the age of 18, she visited Nepal, where she met her first Tibetan master and went on to devote her time between France and Nepal, studying Western psychology and Buddhist philosophy simultaneously.

In 2005, after completing her clinical psychology degree, Stephanie studied psychology and philosophy in the Indo-Tibetan tradition at Sarnath – the sacred Indian city where Buddha gave his first teaching. There she met Tashi and decided to move to India.

Stephanie and Tashi are involved in various projects promoting Tibetan culture. Stephanie is a keen photographer of Himalayan life and is working on a book about Ladakh. She and Tashi have a

five-year-old son and divide their time between Ladakh and Dharamshala.
